PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load when an engine is started. SOLUTION: This continuously variable transmission 2 and a constant transmission 3 each are connected to a unit input shaft 1a, and also an output shaft of the continuously variable transmission 2 and the fixed transmission 3 is connected to a unit output shaft 6 through a planet gear mechanism 5, power circulation mode clutch 9, and a direct connection mode clutch 10. During the stop of a vehicle, in the case of releasing the power circulation mode clutch 9, at lease when an engine is started, CVT ratio of the continuously variable transmission 2 is set to a larger side from a geared neutral point, and inertia in an output side of the continuously variable transmission 2 is reduced.
