PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for medical examination record which allows off-line access to medical examination information records from the terminal side to increase the response speed of medical examination record operation. SOLUTION: Medical examination record information required in a first medical examination record device 101 is preliminarily transferred from a second medical examination record device 201, which is provided with a storage device 210 where patients' medical examination record information are stored, and is stored and held in a storage device 150 of the first medical examination record device 101. Medical examination record information stored in the storage device 150 is referred to and updated in the first medical examination record device 101; and when medical examination record information is updated in the first medical examination record device 101, updated medical examination record information is transferred to the storage device of the second medical examination record device 201 at a proper timing to update the contents of the storage device.
