CUT-OFF PANEL METHOD FOR LAST JOINT OF SUBMERGED CAISSON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cut-off panel method for the last joint of a submerged caisson capable of promoting working efficiency and reducing the load imposed on a diver by a device of light-weight design of a cut-off panel and compact design of an installation method. SOLUTION: A bottom cut-off panel 10 is provided on the bottom of the last joint section of a submerged caisson 18, and in a cut-off panel method for cutting off water from the joint section by surrounding both side faces with side face cut-off panels 24 and the upper face with an upper face cut-off panel 26, cut-off panels 10, 24 and 26 are all constituted as floating body structure, they are respectively arranged at every part of the joint section, while keeping buoyancy in balance, and at the same time, the bottom cut-off panel 10 is provided directly below the installation position of the joint section by ballast weight in advance, and after the last submerged cassion is placed, it is floated by reducing the ballast weight to adhere it to the bottom of the last joint section.
