PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject medicament capable of synergistically potentiating the therapeutic effect of retinoid against acute promyelocyctic leukemia through its combined use with a retinoid, by including a methylidenenucleoside as an active ingredient. ;SOLUTION: This medicament is obtained by including a 2'- methylidenenucleoside which is pref. 2'-deoxy-2'-methylidenecytidine,2'-deoxy-5- fluoro-2'-methylidenecytidine or the like, or a pharmaceutically permissible acid addition salt thereof, as active ingredient. A retinoid capable of potentiating the therapeutic effect is pref. all-trans-retinoic acid or the like. The molar ratio of the above-mentioned 2'-deoxy-2'-methylidenenucleoside or pharmaceutically permissible acid addition salt thereof to the above-mentioned retinoid is pref. around 0.1-10 calculated as the 2'-methylidenenucleoside. The daily dose of this medicament as an active ingredient is preferably about 1-500 mg/kg per adult.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
