PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article made of a foamed resin impregnated with an impregnation additive which can furnish a desired property such as a moth-proofing property, an anti-termite property, heat resistance, flame retardance, coloring or the like, economically and easily and without using dedicated facilities, and which can hold such a property for a long time, and to provide a method for the impregnation. ;SOLUTION: An additive 1 comprising an impregnation additive, a surfactant and a solvent is contacted with a molded article 2 made of a foamed resin to impregnate and disperse the additive into the article. An organic solvent type dispersing agent may be used instead of the surfactant. Furthermore, it may be used instead of the surfactant and the solvent. An example of the impregnation additive is a moth-proofing and anti-termite agent comprising boric acid, a salt thereof or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
