PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage in a laminated rubber under a vertical tensile force working condition without any special restriction on design so as to exhibit its excellent original base isolation performance, maintaining the performance over a long term. ;SOLUTION: An upper end and lower end flange plates 9, 10 of a laminated rubber 8 in a laminated rubber type base isolation device 4 arranged between an upper and lower structures 2, 3 are fastened and fixed with mounting plates 6, 7 fixed on the upper and lower structure 2, 3 sides by means of bolts 11 and nuts 12. In a fastening and fixing mechanism 13 constituted of the bolt 11 and the nut 12, a washer 14 is installed to the bolt 11. By means of the washer 14 provided with a spring force absorbing and reducing a tensile force when a tensile force works on the laminated rubber type vibration controlling device 4, a tensile displacement of the lamination rubber 8 can be lowered to below 8% of the total laminated rubber thickness, or to below 5% desirably.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
