PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the printing excellent in waterproof property and design, and to easily peel and remove the printing through the treatment using the aqueous solution during the recycling by forming a peelable layer to form the printing on a surface of an article of a material which is water-swelling and water-soluble through saponification. ;SOLUTION: In an article having a peelable layer to form the printing such as letters and patterns directly thereon or via another layer provided thereon, the peelable layer is formed of a latent hydrophilic polymer which is a copolymer containing 35-90 wt.% lower alkyl ester unit of polymerization unsaturated carbonic acid of at least one kind selected from acrylic acid, itaconic acid, fumaric acid and maleic acid as the monomer unit in the molecule. In addition, methyl or ethyl ester is used for the lower alkyl aster of polymerization unsaturated carbonic acid, and in particular, the methyl group is specifically rapid in saponification, and selective, and thus, the use of the methyl ester is preferable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
