PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a virtual key, to reduce the display area of the virtual key, and to improve the usability of the virtual key type character input function by changing the character information of the virtual character key when it is confirmed that character changing operation has been detected. ;SOLUTION: A character information setting means 141 changes the character information of the virtual character key when a character changing operation detecting means 1421 confirms that character changing operation has been detected. The setting means 141 when confirming that character changing operation not for a character kind property has been detected changes the character information of only the virtual character key for which the character changing operation has been detected. When it is confirmed that character changing operation for the character kind property has been detected, the character information of all virtual character keys is changed. Further, the setting means 141 sets character recall information for recalling character information which can be inputted with a virtual character key, size change information of the character information, and character input control information, etc., as character information to be set to the virtual character key.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
