PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic flowmeter having high measurement accuracy of a flow rate, and having a small dispersion of measured values caused by the fluid temperature, and its using method. ;SOLUTION: In this electromagnetic flowmeter equipped with a measuring tube, an exciting coil having a core, an inner core, an electrode and an outer core, at least one kind or more of the core of the exciting coil, the inner core and the outer core are formed by soft magnetic material having an electric resistivity ρ of 40 μΩ.cm or more at 25°C, preferably an Fe-Cr alloy including Si≤3.0%, Cr 5.0-18.0% Cr, Al≤4.0%, and 0-0.5% Ti and having C≤0.05%, Mn≤1.0%, P≤0.04%, S≤0.01%, and N≤0.05%, in terms of mass %.
