ATM CELL DIVIDING/REASSEMBLING METHOD OF ATM ADAPTIVE LAYER PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize delays between transmission terminals by performing a real-time traffic cell processing, when an ATM cell is a real-time traffic cell and a non real-time traffic cell processing when it is a non real-time traffic cell. SOLUTION: When an ATM cell is inputted via a UTOPIA interface part 100, an HEC check part 1 checks HEC, and a VPI/VCI filter 11 confirms whether VPI/VCI is effective through VPI/VCI filtering and then discards the cell, when it is not. An AAL5 reception part 2, when it is deemed that the ATM cell is a real-time traffic cell, performs a real-time traffic processing, but performs a non real-time traffic cell processing when the ATM cell is non real-time traffic cell, and repeats the processing until a final ATM cell is inputted.
