PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce communication interference when plural kinds of synchro nous communication exist in the same space by determining the change of synchronous communication timing on the basis of values counted by an error counting means and the other system packet counting means. ;SOLUTION: A judging means 105 is activated in each fixed cycle and determines a change in the timing of synchronous communication on the basis of counter information provided by an error counting means 103 and another host packet counting means 104 and that determination is reported to a communication timing control means 102. On the basis of control information reported by the judging means 105, the communication timing control means 102 operates to change the synchronous communication start timing of a host. Thus, since the synchronous communication timing is changed by operating host equipment, on the condition of considering communication blocking caused by an influence from the other system, the host can avoid the influence of the communication blocking by delaying the synchronous processing start timing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
