PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerated cellulose-base separation membrane having a novel structure with which an excellent complement activity suppressing effect lasts for a long period by improving the blood adaptability of a regenerated cellulose membrane for dialysis and a process for producing the membrane in an aq. medium in which the environmental load of the membrane is decreased.;SOLUTION: The structure of -NH-R (where R=CaHbOdXw, (a) denotes ≥6, 6≤b≤2a+1, 0≤d≤0.5a, 0≤w≤0.2a, X denotes a phosphorus atom and/or nitrogen atom) exists in the amount at which a complement consumption rate attains ≤30% by direct bonding to the carbon atom derived from the gluocopyranose ring of cellulose on the surface of the artificial dialysis membrane, which surface comes into contact with the blood of the membrane.
