PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject nonwoven fabric excellent in affinity for moisture, having moisture diffusion property and imparting an artificial leather having a smooth feeling by making up the nonwoven fabric from both a fiber having an official moisture regain of a specified value or above and an ultra fine fiber having a specific decitex which is made of a thermoplastic polymer.;SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric is made up from (A) a fiber such as cellulose fiber produced by solvent spinning which has an official moisture regain of ≥5% and preferably has a single filament fineness of (1.1-17)×10-1 Tex and (B) an ultra fine fiber which has a single filament fineness of ≤1.1×10-1 Tex and is made of a thermoplastic polymer such as a polyester- based polymer, a polyamide-based polymer or a polyolefin-based polymer. The ultra fine fiber preferably are split fibers produced by splitting a splittable conjugated fiber such as a polyolefin-polyamide conjugated fiber, a polyolefin- polyester conjugated fiber or a polyamide-polyester conjugated fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
