METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECOGNIZING PERSONAL INFORMATION WRITEDOWN MEDIUM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid being forced to make a similar correction because of a similar recognizing fault by using pertinent item data of registered personal information data for correcting the item data including a recognizing fault character. SOLUTION: When an operator instructs recognizing processing of personal information by an operation menu of private information writedown medium recognizing processing outputted to an inputting/outputting part 3, a recognizing processing part 8 recognizes the personal information read into a reading processing part 7 as character data and reports the finish of processing to a main control part 6 with the presence/ absence of item data including recognizing fault characters excepting for a name and a department. The part 6 starts a correcting processing part 9 when there is item data including the recognizing fault characters excepting for the name and the department. The part 9 reads a recognizing result in a recognizing processing part 8 and when there is personal information data whose telephone number or a FAX number is coincident with the personal information data in private information managing file 5, the pertinent item data of the personal information data is used for correcting the item data including the recognizing fault characters.
