ROAD TUNNEL ILLUMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road tunnel illumination control system capable of saving electric power supplied to illuminating loads of the road tunnel and simplifying illumination control.;SOLUTION: Sunlight power generating modules 3a, 3b respectively disposed in both pit mouths 2a, 2b of a road tunnel 1 generate power according to the brightness of each of the pit mouths 2a, 2b. Current collecting boxes 5a, 5b collect the generated power. An arithmetic unit 6 determines an illuminating mode inside the road tunnel 1 based on the collected generated power. A control unit 7 outputs a switch command signal for turning on or off illuminating circuits 10a, 10b, 10c connected to illuminating loads according to the illuminating mode determined by the arithmetic unit 6. Furthermore, electric power is supplied to the illuminating loads of the illuminating circuits 10a, 10b, 10c from a distribution board 12 for distributing electric power from the current collecting boxes 5a, 5b and electric power from a commercial system in conjunction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
