PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A CARBOXILAD CELLATION E STER CARBOXILATED TO THE PART OF CELLATION OXIDAD, BUTIRATE OF ACCESS TO CELLATION OF CARBOXIDE, PROPIRATE OF ACCESS TO CALCULATION OF CARBOXILAD, REVIEW COMPOSITORING, PROCEDURE TO DISCHARBOXIDE A GMENT, AND, A process to prepare a carboxylic cellulose ester of oxidised cellulose is described. Carboxylate cellulose esters have solubility in solvents and compatibility with improved coating resin,compared to cellulose esters produced from regular grade cellulose. The process involves activating oxidized cellulose with water. The activated oxidised cellulose is,then dehydrated by replacing water with acetic acid and optionally replacing at least some acetic acid with butyric acid or propionic acid. After dehydration, activated cellulose is reacted with a esterification reagent in the presence of a catalyst, about 0.C. The temperature is gradually increased to a level sufficient to complete the reaction and to obtain intrinsic viscosity ranging from about 0,2 to about 1, 6 dl/g. The solution reacted is then hydrolysed to achieve a hydroxyl content ranging from about 0,05 to cercthe 1,0. The catalyst is neutralised with a neutralizing agent and the solution is optionally filtered and the ester of carboxylate cellulose is then precipitated with an agent of precipitation. The invention also concerns carboxylate cellulose esters prepared by the process described above.as well as coating compositions of high solids containing the carboxylate cellulose esters produced by the above process.
