Described is an Anode for use in electrolytic zinc extraction.The Anode is made of an alloy of Lead and Silver as a cast Ingot, Rolling and subjected to a thermal treatment either During or after lamination.The Treatment temperature is high enough to cause a recrystallization of the Alloy and cualesquir element to prevent the precipitation of the Alloy.The Anode has a granular structure in the surface that facilitates the rapid oxidation of the Anode to condition. The Anode contains preferably at least 0.03 to 0.045 Silver% and 0.08% Calcium.
