The invention relates to a machine for cutting the ears (stalks) of wild rice and all types of weeds. Until now this cutting was performed without mechanical means. The mechanism for cutting ears (stalks) of wild rice and all types of weeds is fitted on an agricultural tractor and the mechanised cutting of the ears (i.e. the stalks) of the wild rice ensures not only that clean rice is harvested, but also and at the same time, owing to the timing, in other words the intervention at the specific cultivation period, that the grains of wild rice cannot grow (they are not ripe). Accordingly, clean rice is harvested and at the same time no seeds of wild rice fall onto the field and perpetuate the problem (granted that wild rice seeds can remain active in the soil for up to 5 years). At the same time any weeds that project higher than the crop are also cut. The mechanism for cutting ears (stalks) of wild rice and any type of weeds is fitted on an agricultural tractor (at the front or back of the tractor). Use of the said mechanism achieves the mechanised cutting of the stalks (ears) at the appropriate cultivation period.
