The anti-theft security system for vehicles, safe-deposits, houses, shops, commercial premises, makes use of virtually uncheckable encoding of the remote operation and/or key. An ultra-sound or short, medium or long-wave distance operation involves a pressure key (1) which causes an ultra-sound signal or radio wave to be transmitted to a receiver in, for instance, a car. The distance operation entails a coding, preferably comprising a differing number of impressions of each coding switch (2). A reset button (3) is provided in order to alter the ''secret'' coding. By means of the reset button the radio wave frequency can be adjusted, so that possibly an extra security is provided.
