A composition of formula (I) wherein B is adenin-9-yl and R is independently H or -CH2-O-C(O)-O-CH(CH3)2 with the proviso that at least one R is -CH2-O-C(O)-O-CH(CH3)2. Also disclosed is the use of the composition for treating viral infection or treating a person at risk of viral infection.
