DEVICE FOR CONCOMITANT COLLECTION OF AQUATIC GROWTH AND PHYTOPHYLIC FAUNA

The invention relates to a device collecting aquatic growth and phytophylic fauna concomitantly, in hydrobiology. According to the invention, the device consists of a metal frame (1) covered with a zinc-plated wire net (2), some PVC frames (3) provided with a zooplankton screen (4) on their surface, said frames being mounted inside said metal frame (1) which has two tiltable metal blades (5) at its lower part, which close the entire device, said blades being provided on the adjacent edges with some metal teeth (6) for cutting the growth and pulling out the roots. A row of fixed metal teeth (7) is provided along each of the opposite sides to the two blades (5), at the lower part of the frame (1), for keeping the growth within the useful area of the device. The claimed device is provided inside with two metal bars (8) on each tiltable blade (5), said bars being driven by a steel wire cable (9) passed through a rod (10) and wound on a drum. The claimed device has double function and a useful area of 45x45 cm2. The collected samples are representative, illustrating exactly the numerical density and the biomass of the growth and fauna in the concerned aquatic pond.
