TABLET WITH ENHANCED BIOLOGICAL AVAILABILITY OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCE I.E. CLODRONIC ACID, PROCESS FOR PREPARING THEREOF, USE OF MICROCRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE

摘要

The present invention relates to tablets with enhanced biological availability of active substance that is represented by clodronic acid or physiologically acceptable salt thereof and which tablets contain as a pharmaceutical auxiliary substance an admixture of microcrystalline cellulose. There is also disclosed a process for preparing su ch tablets in which the active substance is mixed with from 4 - 8 wt.% of a filler, the mixture is then granulated using a conventional binder, the granulated is added with from 5 - 15 wt.% of a microcrystalline cellulose, up to 3 wt.% of a disintegrant and up to 6 wt.% of a lubricant. After the mixing process the granulate is tabletted and the tabletted cores are optionally coated to improve taste or to retard release of the active substance but also to enhance biological availability of clodronic acid or a physiologically tolerated salt thereof.
