Phenolic resin-based product comprises resol-based resin and catalyst based on sulfonic acid. Bi-component product based on phenolic resin comprises resol-based resin and catalyst based on sulfonic acid, and has improved flexibility characteristics, close to these of expanded polyurethane. The product contains additives in form of surfactant or combination of surfactants, resorcinol, novolac resin or sulfonated novolac resin and/or pre-crosslinked resol dispersion (the additives are added to resin or catalyst component. Surfactants are added in important quantities to resin part and/or to the catalyst part, and are preferably of nonionic type.
