They incorporate a tube-like lining made of an insulating material, such as polyurethane, that covers the foot up to the ankle. Sew the upper end of the lining to the edge thermo weld the lower part of the lining to the corresponding edge, or glue it with contact adhesive, so that the join is integrated into the rubber soul. The stitching and thermo weld, or glued edges, combined with the material and the lining itself, make up the insulating chamber that retains the humidity that gets through the stitching.
