The fabrication of car industry components comprises bonding of reinforcing fibres (2,6) to rigid polyurethane foam sheets (4). Also claimed is a component made by the process. CLAIMED COMPONENT - The component is a strong flexible insulator with a facing layer (1), adhesive (3,5), a barrier film (8,9) and a rear covering layer (7). EMBODIMENT - The process is also applicable in building construction.
