THIS INVENTION IS DIRECTED TOWARDS AN IMPROVED PROCEDURE FOR THE SELECTIVE OXIDATION IN THE GASEOUS PHASE OF AN ORGANIC REAGENT THROUGH A REDOX METAL OXIDE CATALYZER, WHERE THE ORGANIC REAGENT FEEDING IS COMPLETED AT A MEASURING TIME. ADDITION OF A FLUCTUATING OXYGEN FLOW TO ALTERNATE LEVELS RELATIVELY HIGH AND RELATIVELY LOW. THE INVENTION ALSO SHOWS ELEMENTS BY WHICH A GAS CAN BE SUPPLIED TO A REACTION PROCEDURE ON A FLUCTUANT BASE.
