Process for the manufacture of a catalyst that, on porous support particles, contains one or more metals of the group of metals that is comprised in subgroups Ib and VIIIb of the Periodic System of the Elements; This procedure is characterized in that, in a first phase of work, at least one solution of at least one metal combination of the group of metals of subgroups Ib and VIIIb of the Periodic System is applied on a porous support with the exception of ruthenium as one or several precursors of the group of these metals; as well as characterized in that, in a second phase, this porous support once applied on it at least one precursor is treated with a reduction means, such that by the reduction of the metallic combination occurs, within the pores of the support, a sun that is fixed, in this phase of work, on the same support.
