摘要

Utilization of carbon dioxide (CO2) has attracted substantial interest from an environmental perspective [1]. The chemical inertness of CO2 remains as a bottle neck for the scale up and commercialization. CO2 as a C1 building block has been extensively studied in the past decade more predominantly in the polycarbonate chemistry [2]. The selective conversion of methane to liquid oxygenated compounds such as acetic acid by using carbon dioxide is an attractive strategy for obtaining value-added chemicals from abundant natural gas resources. On the other hand, a direct synthesis of Acetic acid from methane has the possibility to establish a new synthesis process with much lower energy consumption [3].
