ATTACHMENTS FOR A MANDIBULAR DISTRACTION DEVICE FOR USE IN MANDIBULAR DISTRACTION OSTEOGENESIS

Attachment are used with a mandibular distraction device foruse in distracting the mandible subsequent to corticotomythereof. First and second sets of crowns of the device areadapted to be attached to the bicuspid and molar teeth ofrespective opposite lateral sides of the mandible. A first pairof expander assemblies are removably or fixedly attachable to theopposite sides of the first set of crowns, and a second pair ofexpander assemblies are removably or fixedly attachable to theopposite sides of the second set of crowns. Each pair ofexpander assemblies includes one expandable device and onesliding tube assembly. The attachments include receptorattachments that are provided to be attached to the bicuspidcrowns and the molar crowns, and corresponding connectorattachments that are provided to be attached to the screw devicesand sliding tube assemblies for connection thereof to the crowns.
