MOBILE AND HAND-HELD BROADCAST VIDEO EARTH STATION TERMINALS AND METHODS FOR COMMUNICATING WITH EARTH TERMINALS VIA SATELLITES

摘要

A mobile system for transmitting live audiovisual information from a portableintegrated camera and transmission unit to a communications satellites in realtime is disclosed. The system includes a portable camera for capturing liveaudiovisual information, a digital encoder for encoding captured audiovisualinformation into a compressed audiovisual signal, a terminal antenna fortracking the communications satellites to determine their locations and totransmit the compressed audiovisual signal to the communications satellites inreal time, and a computer for different editing and signal processing purposes.
