The invention relates to a method for identifying and isolating genomefragments with linkage disequilibrium. For related and unrelated individuals,parts of the genome which contain candidate gene parts that are in linkagedisequilibrium with their narrow DNA environment are isolated. The clonationstep is carried out earlier than in other methods, enabling the DNA fragmentsto be obtained independently of volume and also replacing the methylation stepstill carried out in other methods. The inventive use of a plant enzymeconsiderably increases the specificity of the inventive method compared tomethods which use the mut S,H,L complex.
