Drug target isogenes: polymorphisms in the cholinergic receptor, muscarinic 5 gene

Polynucleotides comprising one or more of 5 novel single nucleotide polymorphisms in the human cholinergic receptor, muscarinic 5 (CHRM5) gene are described. Compositions and methods for detecting one or more of these polymorphisms are also disclosed. In addition, various genotypes and haplotypes for the CHRM5 gene that exist in the population are described.
