Amino acid sequence and nucleic acid encoding variants of the IL-10 receptors, including polymorphisms. Uses of the receptor gene and polypeptides are disclosed, including means for screening for agonists and antagonists of the receptor ligands, for producing diagnostic or therapeutic reagents, and for producing antibodies. Therapeutic or diagnostic reagents and kits are also provided.
