This invention relates to the use of N-[N-(3,3-dimethylbutyl)-L- alpha -aspartyl]-L-phenylalanine 1-methyl ester, or neotame, as a mouthfeel-modifying ingredient and to compositions having improved mouthfeel containing the same.
