Medicinal compositions for inhibiting the kallikrein-kinin system or phospholipase A2 which contain as the active ingredient at least one member selected from the group consisting of acidic mucopolysaccharides and physiologically acceptable salts thereof. These medicinal compositions are highly potent and show little side effect.
