LEAK POSITION DETECTION SYSTEM WITH FLUID LEAK DECTECT OPERATED IN PIPELINE

PURPOSE: A leak position detection system is provided to detect the leak of fluid and the position of leak in a short time and with a low cost by building a system with a precise algorithm. CONSTITUTION: Two pressure transmitters(10,12) installed on both ends of a pipeline(1) to be detected sense the pressure of the pipeline continuously and convert the pressure to electric signals. The noise in the electric signals is removed by using a circuit isolator. The analog DC(direct current) signal indicating the pressure of the pipeline is converted to a digital signal via an analog/digital converter. The digital signal is transmitted to a main computer system(28) by passing through a pair of modems, a LAN(local area network) or a DSU(digital service unit). The data stored by a statistical signal processing is analyzed by a signal pattern analysis program. The leak of fluid is decided by the signal pattern analysis. The difference(delta T) of the point when the fall of pressure in the pressure transmitters is firstly detected to decide the position of leak is returned.
