PURPOSE: A method for fulfilling a multi-window and a multiple alpha blending in a digital television set is provided to fulfill multi-window display without using a background plane, thereby reducing a memory usage. CONSTITUTION: A method for fulfilling a multi-window and a multiple alpha blending in a digital television set includes following steps. At first, a main video window screen is processed to be displayed as a full screen when main video window data input from a format converter is present. Sub video data is overlapped in a window priority order and the result is displayed as a multiple window on the main video window screen when the plurality of sub video window data are input from the video frame buffer as well as the main video window data. The graphic window data input from the graphic frame buffer is mixed with the window-processed video window screen according to an alpha value which is predetermined in the graphic frame buffer, and the result is displayed on the television set.
