Apparatus for measuring hydrogen sulfide in alcoholic beverages and the method of measuring the quantity of the elemental sulfur remained on samples using the apparatus

PURPOSE: A method is provided to measure the absolute value of hydrogen sulfide in alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine with a simple and accurate measurer. CONSTITUTION: A residual elemental sulfur exists on the surface of grapes and hops. The elemental sulfur is measured by a measurer filling a mixture in a transparent or a semitransparent tube and the mixture contains a coloring material and an immersing body. The coloring material changes a color by contacting with hydrogen sulfide and the immersing body immerses the coloring material or is coated with the coloring material. Thus, the concentration of the elemental sulfur is measured.
