PURPOSE: A biodegradable porous marrow grafting materials which is able to be well united with tissue of transplanted part and also induces generation of a regenerated marrow and a method for preparing thereof which is able to easily produce porous calcium metaphosphate having various pore sizes are provided. CONSTITUTION: The marrow grafting material or a marrow supporting body are composed of calcium metaphosphate. The porous calcium metaphosphate ceramics is prepared by: (i) surface-modifying a sponge of high molecular polyurethane; (ii) preparing a calcium metaphosphate slurry by mixing calcium metaphosphate powder with water and then adding 1-3 wt.% of a dispersion stabilizer, 3-7 wt.% of a crack preventing agent and 3-7 wt.% of a binder thereto; (iii) immersing the sponge of step (i) in the calcium metaphosphate slurry of step (ii) and then drying; and (iv) sintering and cooling down the sponge of step (iii).
