COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING CORTEX HIBISCI EXTRACT, RESINA LIQUIDAMBARIS EXTRACT, OR HYPERICUM CHINESE L. EXTRACT

PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Cortex Hibisci extract, Resina Liquidambaris extract, or Hypericum chinese L. extract as an effective ingredient is provided, which improves liver spots and freckles, and shows good skin whitening effect without side effect. CONSTITUTION: A process for the preparation of Cortex Hibisci extract, Resina Liquidambaris extract, or Hypericum chinese L. extract comprises: pulverizing each Cortex Hibisci, Resina Liquidambaris, Hypericum chinese L., and extracting by boiling 3hrs in a circulation extractor after adding water, anhydrous or hydrated primary alcohol of carbon number 1-4, ethylacetate or acetone; filtering with a 100mesh filter sheet, and extracting the residue one more time by same process; adding each extract, and filtering with a Whatman No.2 filter sheet at room temperature to eliminate non-soluble materials; concentrating under decompression at 60deg.C using a distiller with a cooling condenser, and freeze-drying to get each extract powder. The cosmetic composition contains 0.0001-10.0wt.% of Cortex Hibisci extract, Resina Liquidambaris extract, or Hypericum chinese L. extract.
