PURPOSE: A modified flow equalization tank having biological decomposition function is provided to decrease wastewater fluctuation and consequently reduce loads on the following biological treatments. CONSTITUTION: The modified flow equalization tank having biological decomposition function therein is partitioned into an inflow tank, a reaction tank, a circulation tank, and a discharge tank. Water level of each four tank is controlled to be near same, and a discharge pump is operated according to water level. Excess discharged water is recycled to the reaction tank.
