ANGLE-CONTROLLING COMPRESSION HIP SCREW FOR FIXING FEMUR FRACTURE

PURPOSE: An angle-controlling compression hip screw is useful for fixing femur fractures. The angle between a screw part and a support part is changeable according to various different femur structures. CONSTITUTION: An angle-controlling compression hip screw comprises a screw part penetrating through head and neck parts of a femur and a support part for the screw part fixed on shaft part of the femur. The screw part has a projection at center of its front end and the support part has another projection at peripheral part of its front end, respectively. Both of the projections are coupled together by a hinge connection. On outer part of an axis of the hinge connection, multiple longitudinal splines are arranged at determined equal angles. Within the projection, grooves are formed to match with the splines.
