PURPOSE: A home ginseng brewing pot with steaming function and receptacle of brewing pot is provided to obtain a ginseng extraction containing maltol by steaming and brewing ginsengs for a predetermined time period. CONSTITUTION: A brewing pot comprises a receptacle(144) mounted within a heating container(140) and which accommodates, onto the level of water filling the heating container, a food stuff(S) to be brewed; a solenoid valve(164) for forming a penetrating hole at the bottom surface of a steam condenser(160) so as to allow the water filling the steam condenser to easily flow downwardly, and which is mounted at the outer periphery of the penetrating hole of the steam condenser; a steam pipe(167) having a plurality of steam holes(167a) formed at the outer periphery of the steam pipe, and which is installed at the steam condenser; and an open/close unit for passage of the steam and which is inserted into the steam pipe and moves in vertical direction so as to open/close the penetrating hole formed at the bottom surface of the steam condenser. The open/close unit includes a metal pipe(165) one end of which is inserted into the steam pipe and the other end of which is inserted into the penetrating hole of the steam condenser, and a cap(166) mounted along the outer periphery of the metal pipe.
