APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SENSING UNSTABILITY OF LINEAR COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method is provided, in which an unstability of a stroke is automatically sensed, to thereby prevent performance deterioration and noise caused by an unstability of the compressor. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises an electric circuit unit(10) for applying or cutting off AC power in accordance with a control signal; a linear compressor(30) which is adjusted to the optimum stroke by the control power supplied from the electric circuit unit; and an unstability sensing control unit(20). The unstability sensing control unit includes an unstability judging unit(23) for judging unstability in accordance with the signal applied to a gate of a triac and the current applied to the linear compressor; a stroke command value converter(24) for outputting the corrected stroke command value so as to avoid unstability when the unstability judging unit judges unstability; and a stroke controller(22) for controlling, through a phase control, the corrected stroke command value output from the stroke command value converter and the actual stroke estimated by a sensorless stroke estimator(21) to be consistent.
