PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing gamma-lithium aluminate matrix, which is an electrolyte supporter of molten carbonate fuel cell and has an excellent corrosion-resistance and strength to the molten carbonate. CONSTITUTION: Reinforced gamma-lithium aluminate matrix for the molten carbonate fuel cell is prepared by adding 10-70 wt.% of total slurry amount of mono-crystalline stick-shaped gamma-LiAlO2 to the slurry. The gamma-LiAlO2 is prepared by preparing stick-shaped beta-LiAlO2 crystal from LiOHH2O and gamma-Al2O3 and then heat-treating the stick-shaped beta -LiAlO2.
