METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CALCITE HAVING SIZE OF 0.2-0.6 MICROMETER IN DIAMETER

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing calcite having remarkably reduced particle size and a uniform distribution of particles with reduced production cost is provided by using an amorphous calcium carbonate synthesized by a carbonating method in ethanol-ethylene glycol system, and adding MgCl2. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method for calcite having a size of 0.2-0.6 micrometers in diameter is characterized by comprising the following steps of: producing an amorphous calcium carbonate by reacting the calcium hydroxide suspension which uses a mixture of 90vol% of ethanol and 10vol% of ethylene glycol as a solvent with CO2 gas and crystallizing the resultant calcium carbonate in pure water of 20-80 deg.C at an agitation speed of 100rpm or of 20-60 deg.C at an agitation speed of 500rpm, and in MgCl2 aqueous solution of 0.06 mol per a liter at an agitation speed of 100rpm.
