APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING MALFUNCTION OF SLAVE MICROCOMPUTER

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for preventing a malfunction of a slave microcomputer is provided to normally operate a slave microcomputer even though a noise is flowed according to an external electrical impact or a CPT discharge while the slave microcomputer is operated. CONSTITUTION: A master microcomputer(10) detects whether a malfunction of an English box function is generated through an inner counter. A slave microcomputer(20) outputs an address, a chip enable signal and a data selection signal according to reset and initialization data of the master microcomputer(10). A buffer unit(30) buffers the address of the slave microcomputer(20) at a fixed level. A memory(40) outputs data stored to the slave microcomputer(20) according to the address buffered from the buffer unit(30). A waveform shaping unit(50) shapes the data selection signal of the slave microcomputer(20). The waveform shaping unit(50) is composed of an amplification unit(51), a shaping unit(52) and a switching unit(53).
