PURPOSE: To enable a designer to prepare 2D animation in the form of data independently of a program concerning the 2D animation of a video game. CONSTITUTION: 2D animation data 100 are data capable of generating the moving image (animation) of a character generally intended by the designer and can be developed separately from a game program. Besides, a plotting program 14 is a general plotting library capable of interpreting the 2D animation data 100 and generating data for rendering containing the position data of sprite in side a frame for each frame. Then, the game program can generate the data for rendering by making the plotting library 14 interpret the designated 2D animation data 100 only by calling a plotting function (library function) for designating the 2D animation data.
