APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING TRAFFIC CHARACTERISTIC AND INFORMATION OF PACKET NETWORK USING DATA WAREHOUSING TECHNIQUE

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for extracting the traffic characteristic and information of a packet network using a data warehousing technique is provided to deduct a time-to-transmission distribution chart for transmission quantity and the time of using the traffic characteristic information and resources of a packet network. CONSTITUTION: A traffic data warehouse system is comprised of a source table(1), a data input part(2), a packet traffic characteristic extraction part(3), a packet traffic extraction part(4), an application part(5), and an object table(6). The data input part(2) reads the data records of the source table(1). The packet traffic characteristic extraction part(3) extracts packet traffic characteristic information contents from the data inputted through the data input part(2). The packet traffic extraction part(4) extracts packet traffic contents from the data inputted through the data input part(2). The application part(5) applies information extracted from the source table(1) to the object table. The object table(6) stores extracted packet traffic information and characteristic information.
