METHOD FOR ANNOUNCING EMERGENCY SITUATION IN WIRELESS TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method for announcing an emergency situation in a wireless terminal is provided to inform people of an emergency situation using a wireless terminal. CONSTITUTION: A control unit checks whether an alarm sound setup mode is selected(200). If the alarm sound setup mode is selected, the control unit receives an alarm sound to announce emergency situations and stores it in an alarm sound data storage area of a memory(210). The control unit sets up a key to generate the alarm sound(220). The control unit receives a password to stop the generation of the alarm sound and stores it in a password data storage area of the memory(230). Then the control unit checks whether the alarm sound execution key is inputted(240). If the key is inputted, the control unit reads the alarm sound data from the alarm sound data storage area and generates it through the speaker at a maximum output(250). The control unit checks whether a key to release the generation of the alarm sound is inputted(260). If the key is inputted, the control unit compares the inputted key with the password data stored in the password data storage area(270). In case that the inputted key is consistent with the password data, the control unit stops the generation of the alarm sound and returns to the standby mode(280).
